Prayer for the Helpless Unborn Heavenly Father, You create men in Your own image, and You desire that not even the least among us should perish. In Your love for us, You entrusted Your only Son to the holy Virgin Mary. Now, in Your love, protect against the wickedness of evil those little ones to whom You have given the gift of life.
“There is movement in America toward a reaffirmation of life. . . This movement, of course, takes place in the midst of many disturbing signs and much struggle. Yet that in itself is a sign that it is authentic movement and not an illusion. . . Such [pro-life] work is a great source of inspiration, furthermore, for the representatives of pro-life efforts in many other countries who come to meet with me in the Vatican.” –Fr. Frank Pavone |

For more information please contact Margaret Mulrooney at 732-969-8767.
Of This We Are All Witnesses On the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of our Diocese, Bishop Bootkoski published a book entitled History of the Diocese of Metuchen. Every church in the Diocese has a page dedicated to it (see page 76 for our Parish). It is very well done and would be an excellent book for your coffee table or your library. The book is available in the gift shop. Suggested donation: $25.
CHOIR NEWS St. Joseph’s Adult Choir Needs You! - Our Adult Choir needs your voice for the upcoming Lenten Season. Please join us on Wednesday nights 7-8:30 p.m. for practice, and sing with us at the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays. The Choir is open to anyone, high school age and up. Add your voice to ours as we journey through Lent to Easter joy! We are also in need of cantors to lead the singing at Masses without the choir—scheduling is flexible, so if time doesn’t allow you to join the choir, consider the Ministry of Cantor. For more information call Gary Gavula in the Music Office at 732-541-2556.
St. Joseph Children’s Choir will sing at the 5:00 p.m. Mass next Saturday, March 4. The children will practice in the Church at 4:00 p.m. and then sing at Mass. New members are always welcome—come join us! |
